Jolly John is an agent of laughter. This is not the same as a comedian or a clown. As an agent of laughter he shares the joys and the good health benefits of laughing for "no Good Reason". While serving over 25 years as a parish pastor and seeing how deeply our culture is marinated in negativity, John choose to do something to counteract this trend. Who Am I

I was the son of Eleazar who was the son of Aaron, the priest. The deed that I am known for in the scripture was not very pleasant. However, I put a stop to something that God had commanded my people to stop. As a result of what I did God’s anger was turned away from my people and the plague was stopped. You can read about me in Numbers 25.
